Educational Fitness Seminars

Each seminar will be approximately 1 hour in duration with time at the end for Q&A. Most seminars are interactive (ie. if we discuss a technique or proper form, we will invite the class to practice with the instructor).

Create Your Own Effective Fitness Plan - The Pillars of Success (Fitness 101)

If your fitness goals include reducing body fat, increasing cardiovascular stamina and toning muscle, then this webinar is for you.  We will dive deep into basics of designing an all around routine.  After attending the seminar, you will no longer walk into a gym or head out for a run without a plan.  You'll know exactly what you are doing, why you are doing it and more importantly, why you are doing it.  (This seminar is also available in a pre-recorded online format at this link for a one time cost of $10.00.)

The topics covered include:

Aerobic Conditioning:
How frequently you should be doing aerobic exercise and why.
How long your aerobic exercise sessions should be, and why.
At what intensity level should you be working and why.
How should you determine your specific target heart rate zone and which zone is the right zone for you.

Nutrition Basics:
I'm not a registered dietitian and I am not going to develop a meal plan for you during this webinar. However, I will explain why following certain basic principles will help you see significantly better results.

For example: What is the most important detail on any nutrition label?
A: Calories
B: Calories from Fat
C: Sugars
D: Vitamin/ Minerals
E: The first three ingredients
F: None of the above

The answer: F. The answer is on slide 34!

Anaerobic Training: (A.K.A Resistance Training)
If weight loss is the goal, should you run first then lift, or lift first then run?
With over 600 muscles in the body, which ones should you focus on during your resistance training, and why?
What is the best way to structure your weekly routine based on the time you have available and the level of results you want to see?

These days everyone is bombarded with forced, unregulated, marketing that makes claims like: "Get ripped in just 10 minutes a day" or "Lose 10 pounds in just one week!"  This seminar explains the facts and dispels the fitness myths in easy to understand format and allows you to apply what you've learned in your next workout!

There is no drug, no magic pill, no easy way to see the results for which you are looking. However, an education from a source you know and trust is well worth your time and money.
